Dengerous situations with the Internet – security and new technologies.

In the modern sociaty there is a large number of dangerous situations, a lot of them are connected with new technologies and especially with the Web. How can we be prepared for this problems? Can we be safe in the Internet?

There are lot of things that we could do for our safety in IT world. The first thing is that we can located our computer in a proper space in our homes or offices. In organisations we have to care about server security, which means that serves must be situated in appropriatelly locked, dry space and the access to it have to be on a high level of security. Server security have to be on the main place in our list to do in our firm. Nevertheless in our huses we don’t need to have a strong server, so we must secure only our devices. The third thing, we must pay appropriate attention to our Internet provider, is it a good and certificated corporation? The third thing to do is check antivirus shield in our device, we must notice that Internet gives us us many possibilities, however also a large number of dangers. Using the Web we have a connection with the whole planet, we can exchange our thoughts and knowledge, however unfortunately there is as well a space for extremist actions and greedy. The Internet should be a place of freedom where people can exchange their ideas and increase their wisdom.

It is an great invention, because in one location we have got all knowledge of humanity, unfortunately we have got all stupidity to. A large noumber of the Internet sites are done just for entertainment, so we have hours of records which show cats plays or even a 8 hour film which included a sound of a hair dryer (many children sleep only when they hear that sort of thing). On YouTube we have got a fantastic old films or we may find sites with MIT speaches, but as well thousands of sites with teenagers video blogs, which are a form of modern diary for teenagers. We must remember – everything that we put in the Web stays in the Web, so when we are a teenage girl with problems in school and with acne don’t post it in the Web , because you may find this movie after decades and you will do only one thing deleted it, but if you are a teenager who has an serious message to share or you are a part of some charity group say what you need to say loudly, that everyone who need to hear it had a opportunity to hear your speach.

Nowadays we must secure our computers from attacks (viruses, hackers), nevertheless first of all we must prevent ourselves from a large number of useless information and carefully decide what we need to read and see in the Web.
